Where possible, all firearms are disassembled and checked for function and headspacing.  It is the responsibility of the purchaser, however, to understand the firearm, the risks with firing it (and potentially destroying a piece of history), the proper type of ammunition to use, and the safe use of firearms generally. Particularly with older firearms, creating steel or other alloys was not the more exacting science that it is today.  The firing of any firearm after purchase solely the responsibility of the purchaser and New Market Arms assumes no liability for damage to firearms, shooters or others.
